This is the view of Alligator Lighthouse in Islamorada, FL from shore. Every August, 300+ of the craziest people you’ll ever meet swim the four miles out to the lighthouse. Past jellyfish and over barracudas. The only thing better (worse?) than the four mile swim out is the four miles back to shore!

This painting was inspired by one of those magical quiet moments in the trees during an epic pow day. When the snow stops falling for just a moment, you can catch your breath, and spot a grey jay before charging on to the next amazing run.

On the right day, Union Peak at Copper Mountain, CO is about as close to heaven as you can get. But you better get there early, or you’ll be stuck watching your friends get fresh tracks as your thighs burn on the cat track.
